This year, instead of our Happiness Hour, we are launching a new campaign: Building Brighter Futures! We hope you will participate so we can continue to support local working families by helping them afford a safe, quality child care provider. Still mindful of covid-19 challenges for in-person gatherings, we are reprising the popular Rocklands BBQ event we did last fall! Purchase tickets for meals from Rocklands and a portion will go toward our child care scholarships. Meals can be picked up on June 10th from 5-7pm. Consider also donating the cost of a bottle of wine so we can offer a 'wine cellar' package in our silent auction this fall. Total Wine & More is offering us wines at discounted prices. All you have to do is donate at one of seven price-points and we will take care of purchasing and picking up the wines.
Total Wine & More donates a portion of the sale of each bottle of wine to Child Care Counts and we are passing that donation along to Bright Beginnings, a nonprofit organization that operates early childhood and family learning centers for children and families experiencing homelessness in Washington, D.C.
